Russia

Military forces of Russia were rather poorly organized if compared to western European armies. Despite of enormous number of soldiers (about 200 000) they were not properly trained to perform military actions. There were also Marksmen Rebellions. But due to progressive reforms implemented by tzar Peter I the army grew stronger. He formed a new well-trained Russian army capable of defeating a strong enemy like Sweden. Developing rapidly it became during 18 century one of the mightiest armies of Europe. Russia also favored greatly of its huge territory and natural resources, enormous population.
